Bill Nestor (aka Guillermo) explores the world to discover and write about travel, nature, food, golf and lifestyles. He brings a divergent background as a freelance contributor and staff to upscale publications, English and bilingual, worldwide. An earlier career devoted to academia and experiential travel study and learning initiated a lifelong interest in exploring environments and lifestyles, cultures and ecosystems. Communicating his observations and experiences has evolved to its present-day style as a writer of stories and articles in a variety of upscale print publications.

Bill was previously associate publisher and editorial director of Divot’s resplendent golf lifestyle publications. He worked in New York city with the magazine divisions at Gruner and Jhar, Miller Freeman, New York Times, and Golf Digest magazine; served as Executive Director of the Hitchcock Center for the Environment; taught natural history, ornithology and environmental studies classroom and field study courses at New England College and Antioch University New England Graduate School where he also developed, led and instructed extended field study travel explorations during January and June terms including: A Canoeing Natural History of the Florida Everglades, Birds of Texas and Mexico/In Search of Whooping Cranes; The American Southwest/Nature and Culture, Ecological Sailing Study/Key West to Central America, Nature and Lifestyles of the Gaspé Peninsula, and the Canadian maritimes among others.

Bill enjoys living high on a hill with his wife Flo in Vermont, time with family, playing golf, fly fishing, traveling, mountain and sea sunrises and sunsets, and sharing time with talented chefs while enjoying the flavors of their extraordinary creative cuisine.
